Engineering Team Project (ETP)

Engineering Team Project

Engineering Team Project (ETP) revolves around the creation of a design solution to tackle engineering challenges. Students are also anticipated to demonstrate proficiency in effective communication, presentation, and entrepreneurial skills. This stage includes the evaluation of sustainability and the assessment of the impact of professional engineering efforts in addressing problems. Furthermore, students must showcase their capability to engage in independent and lifelong learning. Emphasizing active collaboration within a multidisciplinary teambased project work environment remains a key focus throughout this program stage.

Group 59: Engineering Team Project

An Engineering Team Project is a compulsory and mandatory course needed to be taken by all undergraduate engineering students in their third semester of their sophomore year of studies.

ETP59: A Low Cost and Sustainable Mechanical Ventilator

The recent outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has alarmed the entire world. Especially in healthcare services, with overwhelming of requests needed from the industry to develop a low-cost deployable ventilator for clinical uses. For instance, a ventilator needs to be safe and robust, aside of the current pandemics, ventilation as a technique is required for applications such as neonatal intensive care, surgical anesthesia, life support, and general respiratory therapies. As a result, a wider choice of solutions is clearly required, both for research and clinical applications

Designing, Fabrication & Mechanisms

From forming a team, having weekly meetings, it all starts from hard work our path from findings and research with aid from our beloved supervisor Associate Professor Ir. Dr. Masri discussing on developing a model is definitely not an easy job, by understanding and applying our knowledge on engineering concepts will make it much harder.

Calculations, prototyping and wireframes when it comes in all at once, resulting in stressing us as an undergraduate students where errors needed to debug, mechanisms failure, etc.

But we always believe from ETP we might not be the best, but learning from this course is the process we enjoyed and always appreciates

ETPx Presentation & Demonstrations

ETPx widely known as Engineering Team Project Demonstration Day is one of the most important day we showcase our products, prototype to our examiners.

Engineering Team Project, a project who have thought us as a future engineers to think critically, learn, explore and build something that importantly feasible, reliable and benefits to our societies and consumers.

Thank you for the opportunities having me as a leader to lead the entire team throughout the project from designing phase to fabrication process.
