Computer Aided Engineering (CAE)
Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) is the use of computer software to assist in engineering analysis and design processes. It encompasses a wide range of tools that engineers use to simulate, validate, and optimize designs before physical prototypes are created. Modeling physical phenomena to predict the performance of designs under various conditions. This includes:
Structural Analysis: Stress, strain, and deformation analysis (e.g., Finite Element Analysis, FEA).
Thermal Analysis: Heat transfer and thermal management studies.
Fluid Dynamics: Flow simulation (e.g., Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD).
Vibration Analysis: Studying natural frequencies, damping, and dynamic responses.
Multiphysics: Coupled simulations, like thermal-mechanical or fluid-structure interactions.
